DONALD TRUMP PRAISED BY STARS AS ‘A WARRIOR’, A MAN ‘WILLING TO GIVE HIS LIFE’ AFTER ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT
The Aldean duo has been vocal supporters of Trump for years. Following the assassination attempt on Trump last weekend, Aldean posted on Instagram to show their support and well wishes for “45.”
“This is what a warrior looks like!” Aldean wrote in the caption accompanying a photo of Trump with blood on his face and a stiff arm raised toward the crowd at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. “@realdonaldtrump we are thinking of you and praying for you and your family. God has a bigger plan for you my friend, and I think we all know what it is by now.”
The “She’s Country” singer concluded: “My heart also goes out to the families of the victims. They are the ones who have to pick up the pieces of this cowardly act.”
Volunteer firefighter Corey Comperatore, 50, was killed during the assassination attempt, shielding his family from bullets, and two other people were injured in the demonstration.
Brittany Aldean shared the same photo on her own account and wrote: “Now they really got it wrong.”
Jason Aldean’s ‘Try That In A Small Town’ Hits No. 1 On Billboard Hot 100; Wife Brittany Celebrates
“What a sad day in history, but what a fighter he is,” he wrote. “TRUMP 2024.”
In November 2023, the five-time Grammy Award nominee made headlines when he released a song titled “Try That In A Small Town,” which appeared on his album “Highway Desperado.”
Jason Aldean is ‘proud’ of the United States even though ‘sometimes things went a little bad’
The song was surrounded by controversy when the video premiered to fans and showed burning buildings and rioters setting police cars on fire. Aldean released the video years after violent protests and looting occurred in the months following the death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minnesota.
Country Music Television removed the video amid backlash.
The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem offered her support to Aldean and his song at the time after much criticism, saying she was “shocked” by the attempt to “cancel” him. She invited him to perform at the Mount Rushmore State any time now.
Aldean is expected to perform tomorrow night in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
