Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-François Blanchet told Global News on Thursday that he has not submitted the necessary documentation to read the full version of a top-secret report on lawmakers involved in alleged foreign interference operations.
The National Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) last month published a report containing shocking allegations that sitting MPs were “consciously” or “semi-consciously” collaborating with foreign governments.
A heavily redacted version of the 92-page document was made public, but to read its full contents politicians must go through a security clearance process.
A month after the report was published, Blanchet said he had “almost” completed the security clearance paperwork.
