President Biden joked about his upcoming departure from the White House during an event in the West Wing of the White House on Wednesday, telling a group of content creators that he is “looking for a job.”
On Wednesday, the White House held a Creator Economy Conference, which included social media influencers and other content creators. In his brief remarks, he said they can play a key role in curbing partisanship in American politics.
“It’s never been this bad before. I’m not talking about the press, I’m talking about the way we treat each other in politics,” Biden said. “It’s becoming incredibly difficult to count the amount of lies that people are hearing.”
“You don’t know what to believe. You don’t know what to count on, but you’re making your way,” he told the creators. “And that’s why I invited you to the White House, because I’m looking for a job.”
